I have always experienced a rainbow as a sign of hope and optimism.

This varied edition of small sculptures is a reflection of this optimism and also, it’s fragility. I acquired the laminated architectural glass elements years ago but did nothing with it. Disappointments in the material, myself and life kept me from producing these pieces. Now, 15 years later, I see the action of building these sculptures with all their imperfections as a manifestation of my desire to move beyond those trials with a refreshed view.

I have always been seduced by the vibrant energies of luminous colours. I have chosen to produce 12 variations of A Piece of the Rainbow to create sculptures that each resonate differently. My intention is that each variation radiates a unique vibe, possibly sparking a response of a hopeful joy, peace or calmness.
